They are an important part of a well-rounded fitness program because weak core muscles can lead to poor posture, lower back pain and muscle injuries. Most sports and physical activities, as well as daily living activities, depend on stable core muscles. Our exercise physiology team will develop a fun and effective core and flexibility program designed to meet your specific daily activity needs. Six (6) sessions.
Weight and Lifestyle Management Program
This program teaches positive lifestyle strategies from a multi-disciplinary approach. We look at your lifestyle, your environment, sociological causes and physiological contributors to design your weight management program. The program includes six sessions with a dietician and six sessions with an exercise physiologist. They will collaborate to design an effective personalized eating pattern and exercise program just for you, based on increasing caloric output and maintaining lean body mass. Twelve (12) sessions.
Acupuncture, which is thought to have originated in ancient China, is generally based on the premise that bodily functions are regulated by the flow of an energy-like entity called qi or chi. Acupuncture aims to correct imbalances in the flow of qi by stimulating anatomical locations on or under the skin, called acupuncture points. Channels known as meridians connect most points.
Acupuncture alone, or in combination with other natural treatment therapies, can be used to restore optimum health and treat a wide range of conditions and symptoms. It can be effective for relieving pain, stress, headaches, digestive system issues, hormonal imbalances, many chronic conditions, and menopausal symptoms. Acupuncture treatments can be used to treat a specific ailment or other health condition as part of your Optimum Health Partnership. Four (4) treatments.
Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM)
As part of a comprehensive treatment strategy for both acute and chronic musculoskeletal, as well as other conditions, this effective, yet non-invasive treatment employs an understanding of the body’s interrelationships between structure and function. Palpation and manipulation are used to provide patient-specific care that promotes health and treats disease. Health partners are able to take advantage of this powerful healing tool. Three (3) sessions.
Acute or Chronic Injury Rehabilitation
Do you suffer from chronic, nagging injuries, or a new, acute injury from a recent athletic endeavor? Let our expert team of physical therapists and athletic trainers make an evaluation and recommend a specific course of treatment, depending on your injury. Four (4) treatments.
