A 6-week program designed to gradually increase fiber intake with the aim of improving blood lipid panels, colon health and stabilizing blood sugar. The goal is to reduce the risk of certain diseases. The Program provides education on the benefits of fiber on overall bodily health and disease prevention, and includes support and guidance, recipe ideas; log books to track progress and healthy rewards for completion.
Our Biggest Burn Challenge
A 5-month contest for employees to compete against themselves or others in losing weight and becoming healthier through improved diet and exercise. Education and motivation is provided as well as pre- and post- body composition measurements, weight and circumference measurements. Topics discussed during this challenge are caloric balance, effective methods of improving diet, portion control and increasing physical activity in the most efficient way for burning adequate calories. Includes instruction on using free online tools for calorie tracking and portion size awareness.
The Lowdown on Controlling High Blood Pressure
This educational workshop covers the risk factors for high blood pressure, and offers lifestyle changes for managing and preventing high blood pressure. Presented as an interactive “quiz challenge,” the curriculum includes blood pressure mechanism, hypertension statistics, repercussions of untreated high blood pressure, stress management techniques, food label reading, healthy recipes and exercise program guidance.
